Overview:
Horace Mann, a purpose-driven company passionate about serving educators, is seeking a New Agent Support Consultant. In this fully remote role, you will proactively support new Exclusive Agents (EAs), helping drive sales, foster agency growth, enhance profitability, and ensure their long-term success. You will develop expertise in all new agent processes, practices, and technologies.
This position reports to the Manager of New Agent Support.
Key Responsibilities:
Communication & Collaboration:
- Engage daily with the agency force and field sales leadership for effective communication.
- Collaborate with the field sales leadership team to understand and support the Agency Business Model (ABM).
Agent Support:
- Act as a key resource for new agents, providing guidance and addressing inquiries.
- Respond promptly and effectively to Exclusive Agents’ requests.
- Offer accurate direction on issues beyond your scope of knowledge.
Proactive Engagement:
- Reach out to Exclusive Agents via chat or email to assess and meet their needs, scheduling at least one in-depth interview per agent.
Reporting & Analysis:
- Provide weekly reports detailing the support provided and identifying knowledge gaps.
- Record all agent interactions in the CRM system for accurate tracking and trend analysis.
Process Adherence:
- Follow NAS workflows and use in-depth interview guides for agent interactions.
- Execute responsibilities as outlined in the new agent installation matrix.
- Monitor and report on checks and balances to ensure process adherence.
Performance Support:
- Help agents meet or exceed established quote and production goals.
- Diagnose and resolve agent issues, coordinating with internal departments and ensuring timely follow-up.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Bachelor’s degree preferred; 3+ years of experience in insurance (marketing or service departments).
- Product Knowledge: Familiar with Property & Casualty insurance; must be able to obtain a company-sponsored license.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and oral communication skills at all organizational levels.
Additional Information:
- Work Environment: Remote, normal home office setting.
- Hours: Extended work hours and weeks may be required to support different time zones.
- Travel: Minimal travel required (less than 10%).
- Salary: Pay range $58,300 – $91,600 (commensurate with experience and location).
